A quarterly newsletter with real insights for real people.

Okay, let’s get ready to rock and roll!  Literally every single person I know has either been fully vaccinated or has had one shot and are on their way to moving forward into a more normal way of living.  The light is at the end of the tunnel and it’s not a freight train – it’s the new day of a time to regroup and recover from the past 15 months of fear, anxiety and turmoil and make things happen!

Welcome to the 2nd edition of the 2021 GSG Newsletter, GSGVision.  In this issue, we’ll focus on what we see in the broader market with MARKETVision, get into the nitty gritty on what’s driving the labor market in TALENTVision by our own Galawezh Mostofi, Senior Recruiter in our Talent Acquisition group, and get an update on how things are looking in the sustainability space with Sarah Capraro, Senior Client Service Analyst in this quarter’s issue of GREENVision.

Also featuring in this issue is GSG’s 2021 COLA Award Recipient, Ron Tuzon, Senior Manager and consultant extraordinaire, currently working with our client First Republic Bank on a major transformation initiative, based in San Francisco.  Congratulations Ron!

As we head into the Independence Day holiday this weekend and wrapping up another great month of Pride, celebrating unity and diversity we at GSG are excited about the future ahead and looking forward to working with our clients, consultants and the community to move forward.  Proud of our achievements during the pandemic, we decided to share some of the most significant projects we’ve completed recently in a series we’re calling PROJECTVision.  We’ll roll out one project per week throughout the month of July as we unveil our newest campaign focused on collaboration.

If you can hear, we can collaborate … if we listen, you can execute!

Happy 4th of July and be safe!

MARKETVision by John Henning

In the last two editions of MARKETVision, we’ve been focused on tracking the impact of 5 key areas of activity in the consulting and professional services space.  These include M&A activity, the broader financial markets, risk and regulatory compliance, digital transformation/customer experience initiatives and Return to Office programs.

With Return to Office taking center stage as most companies are planning to make the shift starting in September, we’re also seeing a new trend in large financial institutions as there is a huge emphasis on improving the employee experience as a critical and foundational step towards improving the customer experience.

Here’s what we’re seeing at our clients and in the broader marketplace:

With the changing world and work environment we have changing priorities and many have realized that big changes are overdue. As vaccinations have rolled out across the country there is much more optimism about our future now and we have noticed that more people are changing jobs for improved quality of life reasons vs pure career advancement.

Some shifts we have noticed include:
