About the Opportunity:
Seeking a highly experienced Envestnet Implementation Consultant to support a major wealth management platform transformation involving the replacement of Envestnet and Folio platforms as part of a broader migration to Charles River Development (CRD) Wealth / Charles River Everywhere (CRE SaaS).
The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands-on knowledge of Envestnet and wealth management workflows, with practical experience understanding how platform functionality, interfaces, data, and operational processes work in real-world advisor and investment operations environments. This individual will help the transformation team understand and translate current-state Envestnet and Folio capabilities into the new CRD Wealth environment.
This is not a like-for-like migration. The consultant will help identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and modernize existing workflows and processes as they are transitioned into the CRE SaaS platform.
Responsibilities:
- Provide deep subject matter expertise on Envestnet platform functionality, workflows, integrations, and operational processes.
- Analyze current-state Envestnet and Folio workflows and help translate business requirements into future-state CRD Wealth / CRE SaaS solutions.
- Map legacy platform functionality, processes, and interfaces to the capabilities and operating model of the new CRD environment.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities to improve or modernize existing workflows rather than simply replicating legacy processes.
- Work closely with wealth management, investment operations, technology, and implementation teams to understand current and future-state requirements.
- Support requirements gathering, process mapping, workflow analysis, and functional solution design.
- Provide practical guidance on interfaces, integrations, data flows, and downstream operational impacts.
- Participate in client and stakeholder workshops to explain current-state Envestnet processes and recommend effective approaches for the future-state environment.
- Help identify implementation risks and dependencies associated with transitioning from Envestnet and Folio to CRE SaaS.
- Support testing, validation, UAT, and implementation activities to ensure critical business workflows are accurately transitioned.
- Act as a bridge between business users, wealth management operations, technology teams, and CRD implementation resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in wealth management, investment technology, financial services consulting, or a related field.
- Deep, hands-on experience with Envestnet, including practical knowledge of platform workflows, functionality, interfaces, and operational processes.
- Strong understanding of wealth management and advisor-facing workflows and how technology supports front-, middle-, and back-office operations.
- Experience working with Folio or related wealth management platforms strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting platform implementations, migrations, transformations, or major system replacements.
- Ability to analyze complex legacy processes and translate them into practical future-state business and technology requirements.
- Strong understanding of integrations, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies between wealth management platforms and surrounding systems.
- Experience working directly with business and operations stakeholders to understand how platforms are used in practice.
- Strong requirements gathering, business analysis, process mapping, and functional solution design skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business, operations, technology, and implementation teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a Charles River Development (CRD) implementation or transformation.
- Familiarity with Charles River Wealth Management and/or Charles River Everywhere (CRE SaaS).
- Experience migrating from Envestnet or similar wealth management platforms into a modern investment management or wealth technology ecosystem.
- Experience with wealth management data, integrations, APIs, and third-party vendor connectivity.
- Strong understanding of advisor, portfolio management, investment operations, and client servicing workflows.
- Prior consulting or systems implementation experience in the financial services industry.
