About the Opportunity:
GSG is seeking a Sr.Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Enterprise Vendor Management team supports strategic initiatives and firm-wide objectives through the global management of labor and non-labor vendors for the purpose of delivering high quality vendor products and services to grow our investment management business, while optimizing the total cost of ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Be a trusted partner for business units to advise on strategy, planning, and rationalization. EVM (Enterprise vendor master team) will own issue escalation, contracts management, Sourcing and negotiations.
- Establish strong relationships with vendors to understand their offerings, strengths, and weaknesses to maximize value to business.
- Maintain knowledge of new and existing vendor products, emerging trends, and an understanding of how vendor’s products are used across the firm.
- Lead vendor sourcing events (RFX Process – Request For Information (RFI) , Request For Proposal (RFP) & Request For Quotation (RFQ), selection of vendor, negotiation process, P2P process and the ongoing management of vendor partnerships.
- Research and establish contract negotiation strategies with business partners to achieve highest value.
- Manage vendor strategy meetings and effectively communicate vendor updates to senior leadership.
- Manage upcoming renewals for assigned list of vendors
- Develop contracts based on current and anticipated needs
- Reviews and redlines contract commercial terms
- Partners closely with Legal and other Subject Matter Experts to mitigate risk and vet supplier qualifications (infosec, financial, etc…)
- Analyze spend category and work closely with business to perform vendor rationalization and cost savings analysis on a regular basis.
- Assist with projects related to your spending categories or assigned vendors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5-10 years of experience related to technology and/ financial application vendors within financial services industry.
- Excellent contract management and negotiation skills.
- Creative problem solver, Analytical skills
- Broad knowledge of technology software, hardware, infrastructure, financial business applications, telecommunications, Facilities and IT Services vendor categories.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Lean and contribute to a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Organized and results oriented with a sense of urgency.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and good team player
