About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Project Manager with a unique blend of business analysis and project management skills to lead sub workstreams within our organization. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where ambiguity is the norm, excels at teasing out crucial information, and is comfortable navigating diverse and ever-changing tasks. This role requires someone who can embrace the challenge of addressing ambiguity, ask critical questions, and ensure project success by holding teams accountable to high standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate sub workstreams within larger projects, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, objectives, and deliverables for each sub workstream.
  • Conduct thorough business analysis to understand stakeholder needs, objectives, and constraints.
  • Tease out critical information from stakeholders, ensuring clear and comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Define and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned sub workstreams.
  • Monitor and track project progress against key milestones, and proactively address potential issues or delays.
  • Thrive in an environment with high levels of ambiguity and be adept at making decisions in the absence of complete information.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with ambiguity and adapt project plans accordingly.
  • Foster open and transparent communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure that project goals align with organizational objectives.
  • Challenge assumptions and ask probing questions to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and expectations.
  • Hold team members accountable for their deliverables and commitments, driving the team towards ideal outcomes.
  • Actively seek feedback from team members and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement changes and adjustments to processes to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; PMP or similar certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience leading sub workstreams in complex projects.
  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to gather and document detailed requirements.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions in a friendly and constructive manner.
  • Track record of holding teams accountable for project deliverables.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
