About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking an experienced Program Manager for our client in the financial services industry. The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, control, and completion of specific cross-functional projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Ensures projects or operational work efforts by project team members and third-party vendors are scheduled, managed and completed with accurate and timely status information to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Help manage teams and resources/independent contributors that are geographically dispersed, help to set and drive meeting agendas, create and manage a project plan for a strategic program, manage work efforts simultaneously.
  • This position will take direction from both the overall program manager for program management standards and from the workstream leads that they are supporting for work stream content.
  • Coordinate complex cross-functional projects and programs; tasks will include design and development, as well as implementation and production.
  • Plan and schedule project goals, milestones and deliverables, ensuring accountability for all phases of program.
  • Coordinate and contribute to Project Definition Documents and Business Requirement Documents.
  • Establish schedules and develop project parameters
  • Define requirements, planning, costs and resources for project implementation.
  • Maintain project and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate the various project team resources, managing differences and solving project issues between different groups.
  • Facilitate team and program-level meetings, capturing decisions, minutes, and takeaways
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change; manage the process of innovative change.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years related experience in program management, preferably in a Banking environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote new programs and processes, as well as improve current programs and processes to minimize risk and enhance operational performance.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project required.
  • High sense of urgency to achieve business improvement results and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP certification preferred.
