About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking a Program manager to join our dynamic team. Guides and directs work on accounting consolidation platform program. Shapes, drives, and implements innovative approaches and solutions within and across the enterprise to achieve desired business outcomes. Provides perspective and insight to leaders and division heads in contributing to the development of the strategic plan as it relates to the new platform. Partners and consults with various business and technical partners to deliver iterative business value and achieve business strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Recognized as an expert and requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the wealth management industry.
  • Solves extremely complex or unique problems that have a broad impact on the business.
  • Contributes to the development of functional strategy.
  • Program Communication & Administration (20%):
    • Shapes program to deliver business value with shorter iterations.
    • Identifies opportunities of improvement to drive and influence program alignment and success through monitoring program, industry, functional or technology trends; incorporates emerging business and consumer trends into program.
    • Understands business or enterprise strategy to lead and deliver business outcomes.
    • Defines appropriate communication strategies and secures commitment for program decisions.
    • Directs program teams to communicate solution vision and priorities.
    • Designs and provides guidance to others on strategies for influencing multiple decision makers.
    • Drives plans to overcome resistance to many types of change.
    • Sets expectations and assuages fears associated with impact of change and drives team forward.
  • Project Delivery (20%):
    • Defines, establishes, and leads innovative approaches and solutions that require transformational changes within and across the enterprise, including organizational change plans and project financials.
    • Drives solutions options and business partner decision making to minimize the amount of project investment divergence from target outcomes.
    • Identifies opportunities for creating reusable enterprise artifacts.
    • Drives program team to identify measurable business value, ensures metrics are gathered for project goals.
    • Identifies opportunities to align business priorities to achieve business value iteratively.
    • Drives through ambiguity and shares best practices on conflicts/issues/risks.
    • Leads resolution for issues that are creating barriers to achieving desired objectives; escalate appropriate issues with plan of action to mitigate to executives.
    • Guides the program team to manage interdependencies and ensures integrated responses are executed, as appropriate.
  • Consultant (20%):
    • Challenges, where appropriate, to drive the business strategy/roadmap forward.
    • Consults and partners with senior leaders to drive consensus for a desired future state that meets the business strategy and enterprise objectives.
    • Guide’s business solutions and advises business partner decision making to align with overall strategy of the business.
    • Builds constructive tension in interactions with business/technical partners to push them out of their comfort zone to consider alternative concepts, paths, or solutions.
    • Provides senior leaders with an accurate view of challenges to adoption; recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns; engages key business sponsors to support change management activities.
    • Evolves key partners and stakeholders’ expectations in accordance with changes in the business, technology, or the environment.
  • Team Leadership (20%):
    • Provides guidance and leadership to project managers.
    • Motivates and inspires teams to coalesce and commit to higher purpose.
    • Advises and mentors teams to elevate and strengthen capabilities collectively.
    • Promotes and cultivates a collaborative environment for distributed or virtual teams.
  • Evolving Analysis and Strategy (20%):
    • Advises and facilitates (as needed) business priorities to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
    • Recognizes and quickly adapts to implications of business strategy changes.
    • Seeks out new and improved ways to partner with key stakeholders to prioritize strategic decisions based on desired business outcomes and achieving business value.
    • Effectively engages stakeholders and consults with senior leaders and executives to define measurable business value and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Typically has 12+ years related experience.
  • Deep knowledge of SEI’s Wealth Platform.
