About the Opportunity:

GSG is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant for our client in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and analyze trends in the cybersecurity threat landscape, translating these insights into actionable updates and recommendations for security policies and programs.
Provide expert advice on the impact of international cybersecurity and data protection regulations, updating leadership on necessary policy adjustments.
Coordinate and respond to cybersecurity due diligence questionnaires, regulatory examinations, and requests for proposals (RFPs). Partner with the Global Due Diligence and RFP Team to ensure comprehensive and timely responses.
Build and maintain relationships with Global Information Security, Technology, and Enterprise Business Resilience teams to support due diligence and RFP processes.
Regularly update stakeholders on the status and progress of cybersecurity due diligence and RFP requests. Conduct research and provide informed responses to inquiries on emerging cybersecurity risks and threats.
Drive the negotiation of security-related contract terms with vendors, ensuring all requirements are explicitly defined and meet regulatory standards.
Perform vendor security assessments to gauge compliance with security requirements.

Requirements:

Strong understanding and practical experience with cybersecurity policies, standards, controls, and frameworks. Ability to apply this knowledge to client due diligence, regulatory examinations, and RFPs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365 Compliance Center, Microsoft Teams, and general database concepts.
Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity assessments, audits, and controls testing
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
Proven experience in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) within a global context.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills, and a proactive work ethic. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
