About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong IBOR and investment operations experience to support complex investment-management technology implementations.

The ideal candidate combines deep middle/back-office knowledge, IBOR expertise, client-facing implementation experience, and strong technical/data analysis skills. This is a hands-on BSA role requiring the ability to investigate complex data issues, write SQL, understand integrations, and translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Document current- and future-state workflows across positions, cash, trades, reference data, and accounting.
  • Gather and document IBOR requirements and solution designs, including business rules, data sources, processing frequencies, reconciliations, exception handling, and downstream consumers.
  • Develop data mapping and interface requirements across client, custodian, accounting, market data, and investment-management systems.
  • Define configuration requirements including account structures, position and cash rules, workflows, exception queues, and operational controls.
  • Investigate position, cash, transaction, tax lot, and reconciliation breaks and perform detailed data analysis to identify root causes.
  • Write complex SQL to investigate data, validate results, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support conversion and reconciliation activities, validating that converted positions, cash, transactions, and balances tie back to source systems.
  • Develop testing assets, including test scenarios, scripts, expected results, defect analysis, and UAT support.
  • Support cutover and stabilization, including conversion sequencing, readiness criteria, issue resolution, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer.
  • Work closely with business, operations, technical, data, and implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in asset management technology, investment operations, or financial services.
  • 5+ years of IBOR or middle-office experience.
  • Strong understanding of IBOR and ABOR, positions, cash, transactions, tax lots, reconciliations, and investment accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of middle/back-office processes, including corporate actions, trade processing, settlement, and investment lifecycle events.
  • Strong SQL and data investigation skills.
  • Experience with data mapping, interfaces, integrations, and reconciliation.
  • Experience delivering client-facing technology or platform implementations.
  • Strong requirements gathering, documentation, workshop, testing, and UAT skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Charles River Development (CRD) or comparable investment-management platforms.
  • Experience with CRD IBOR Classic or NextGen IBOR.
  • Experience with CRD Alpha or front-to-back investment-management implementations.
  • Experience with trade matching, post-trade, settlement, custodial, or investment-accounting platforms.
  • Knowledge of CTM, Trade Nexus, or SWIFT.
