About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking a a seasoned, collaborative Program Manager to be the right-hand person to the Client Services leader of our financial services client. This consultant would be able to take charge and own all of the projects within the Client Services team, including resource allocation, management of issues, risks and dependencies at the program level, and excellent communication skills.


  • Strategic thinker who can understand from end-to-end the full vision for this program.
  • Create roadmap and accompanying project plan to successfully manage the work effort.
  • Balance resources for all work associated with this program.
  • Conduct daily program management throughout the program life cycle, working closely with the Client Services leader.
  • Manage stakeholders’ communication—including coordinating input and feedback requests across multiple departments.
  • Manage issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Provide weekly status report and provide transparency to the Client Services leader and others.
  • Provide updates to various Dodge & Cox committees.
  • Manage the required documentation for the program.
  • Review new versions of deliverables for overall quality control.
  • Proven excellence as a seasoned Program Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with team members at all levels.
  • Analyze and solve problems, and to escalate when needed.
  • Strong project management abilities focused on successful and timely execution.
  • Can work independently, handle several projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques.
  • Ability to “translate” between team and stakeholders, keeping everyone’s interests and needs integrated as part of a project’s successful completion.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Expertise using project management software (e.g., Clarizen (preferred) or MS Project).
  • 7-10 years program management experience.
  • 8-12 years project management experience.
  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry, with a focus on internal Client Services.
