HEALTH INSURANCE
GSG offers a comprehensive, competitively priced health insurance plan to all eligible contract employees. An employee becomes eligible after a 30-day waiting period, from the date of hire. Effective date for coverage to begin is the first day of the month, after 30 days of employment. GSG contributes 85% to the employee premium, with the option for family coverage at employee expense.
Should you elect to participate in our health plan, your portion of the premium will be deducted from your payroll pre-tax, on a semi-monthly basis. Health insurance rates and plan summary details will be made available to candidates and employees.
DENTAL & VISION COVERAGE
In addition to health coverage, GSG offers a separate high-quality Dental & Vision plan to all eligible contract employees. As with health insurance, an employee becomes eligible after a 30-day waiting period from the date of hire. Effective date for coverage to begin is the first day of the month after 30 days of employment. GSG contributes 50% to the employee premium, with the option for family coverage at employee expense.
Should you elect Dental & Vision coverage, your portion of the premium will be deducted from your payroll pre-tax, on a semi-monthly basis. The nationwide Dental & Vision provider details will be made available to candidates and employees.
COMMUTER BENEFITS
GSG offers a Section 132 commuter benefit plan to all eligible contract employees. The GSG Commuter Benefit Plan allows employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible mass transit and parking expenses. The pre-tax monthly statutory limits are adjusted yearly per IRS guidelines. Please contact the GSG payroll department for information on the annual parking and transit rates for the commuter benefits.
The GSG Commuter Benefits Plan offers greater flexibility since it operates on a monthly basis. This means that employees may enroll in (or make changes to) the plan throughout the year.
The GSG Commuter Benefit Plan is administered by WageWorks as a third party administrator. This FAQ document addresses many of the frequently asked questions that participants may have regarding the plan. To enroll, you will need to go online to www.conexis.com/myfsa. This information will be available to you within seven to ten days after your date of hire.
GROUP LIFE INSURANCE
GSG offers all contract employees who have been employed for 30 days a 100% employer-paid basic group term life policy, along with an Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy. Each policy generally pays a death benefit and Accidental Death & Dismemberment amounts up to $35,000. There is no requirement to submit to a medical physical or fill out a medical history questionnaire for the $35,000 benefit. The waiting period for all new eligible employees is the first of the month following 30 days of full-time employment with GSG, and all employees will be automatically enrolled in this group life insurance plan.
401K PLAN
GSG offers a voluntary pre-tax 401(k) plan to all eligible employees. There are a variety of funds for you to choose from.
The Enrollment Kit includes an Enrollment form, Beneficiary form and Rollover form. To view detail information on the available funds, such as the prospectus, you will need to go online to www.mykplan.com. This information, including log-in information, will be available within ten to fifteen days after your date-of-hire. You will have the option to view the prospectus online or request copies to be mailed to you.
If you are interested in participating in the 401(k) Plan, you will need to enroll via the Web or Voice-Response System as well as complete the Beneficiary form. Please return the completed form to HR@granitesolutionsgroupe.com.
CONTRIBUTIONS & VESTING SCHEDULE
The IRS establishes a maximum dollar amount that an employee can set aside each year from their salary before taxes are withheld to invest for retirement. GSG has established a minimum of 2% and a maximum of 90% of compensation that a participant may elect to defer. Once you enroll in the plan, the percentage you specify from each paycheck will be withheld and the money will be invested as you direct. Matching contributions are at the sole discretion of GSG.
Employees are 100% fully vested after 3 years of continuous service. The employment period is the 12 months beginning on the date of hire. You are always 100% vested in your own contributions, and any rollover contributions (if applicable) as adjusted for any earnings or losses on these contributions.
PET INSURANCE
We are always looking for ways to increase our benefits offerings, and now offer pet health coverage at a discounted cost. Pet Health Coverage is 100% paid by employee and is a post-tax payroll deduction.
Enrollment between the 1st and the 15th of the month becomes effective on the 1st of the following month. Enrollment from the 16th through the end of the month becomes effective on the 1st of not the following month, but the month thereafter.
PAYROLL & TIME TRACKING
GSG offers contract employees direct deposit for payroll. Employees are paid on a semi-monthly basis, the 15th and the last day of the month; provided the employee’s timesheet has client authorization and is submitted per the time sheet policy.
When payday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, payment will be issued on the Friday before. GSG Employees can view their pay stubs and payroll information using the GSG Payroll System.
Employees who incur authorized expenses by the client will submit receipts/ expenses using GSG Time & Expense system.
